Attention Massachusetts residents: Beware of who you let onto your property to install remote monitoring security systems. These are the all-in-one type of security systems that allow you to control your property from a smart phone or device. These installations are categorized as “Life Safety” systems.  According to Massachusetts State Laws, this means the installers “are required to be licensed by the State Board of Electrical Examiners and also to have a Public Safety license, mandating criminal background checks on all security system employees by the Department of Public Safety.”
